Gossip

I was going to write a post about a situation that came up at the church we are attending. We are a very small church and we meet at a larger church in town. Well a situation came up between us & the other church. I wanted to post a vent about it. But then I felt a tug saying, Wait. I don’t want this to turn out to be gossiping, especially since I know allot of people that go to this church (not that anyone from there reads my blog!). I am also frustrated with the situation, so I think I will wait until it all plays out and just post my experience, and what I learned from it. If I did it now, I would only write things that were harsh and set a bad example as a Christian. There is a fine line between gossiping and venting, and it is a struggle some times to know where to stop.

A troublemaker plants seeds of strife; gossip separates the best of friends. Proverbs 16:28

On a lighter note, I took the girls to see HSM3! It was wonderful. I love the music! I also love the wholesome goodness of the film. I saw a review of the film over the weekend and the critic actually said that it is so unbelievable that teens would act this way and there was only 1 kiss! Hello, what was he expecting! Hurray for Disney promoting good teen behavior. If you haven’t seen it yet and like musicals, go see it!

Happy Monday!

Glad to hear it about HSM3..i'm sure the critics would expect it to be like the new 90210, thank goodness it isn't!

I admire your restraint to be able to not 'vent' about stuff. I have a hard time keeping my mouth shut. I remind myself all the time that being a good christian is taking the higher road!
But I am still nosey and can't wait to hear about the 'experince' you are referring too!

I am with brooks, I try so hard to do the right thing and then before I know it---blah blah blah.

Oh I hate it!

I admire your restraint, discernment and strength.

Yo go!

Good for you, J. It's not always easy to hear that quiet whisper, and you listened. I actually did write something not so nice about someone from the Amy concert, and he actually emailed me. I realized what was posted in humor wasn't very nice, so I apologized and deleted the comment. We're not perfect, but we can always try to be our best, right?

Thanks for the reminder!

poor you! I know how you feel. I'm sure "the truth will set you free!" hang in there and just pray for the person who is doing all the harm. Hang in there and just do 10 inhale exhale exercise! :)

Glad to hear you liked the movie. I love musicals! Hope things work out with the church situation and you can then blog about how God resolved it. :)
